The British horse racing is definitely world’s best horse racing scene up to this date. Other racing scenes are just not as fabulous and glamorous as British horse racing, and the sport’s potential is immensely big. This is why authorities are now taking active steps to expand the sport even further, allowing us fans to see more of horse racing events and talks on different media.
Jockeys and trainers alike are being offered trainings and skills to help them deal with the media. If you thing you haven’t seen enough of horse racing on TV, wait till most of these trainers and jockeys understand how they can convey messages through different media effectively.
To make the move of expanding British horse racing even bolder, jockeys and trainers are also being offered appearance money for every time they appear on national media. This will make the overall coverage of British horse racing — as well as the eagerness of jockeys and trainers to appear on the media — increase substantially.
The move is initiated by an organization called Racing for Change. Racing for Change’s chairman, Chris McFadde, said that the main purposes of this move are to reduce the lack of enthusiasm among jockeys and trainers to appear on different media and at the same time increase media coverage over the sport.
The same move was used by World Series of Poker, actively engaging media — especially TV stations — to broadcast live events and interview professional poker players. In a matter of years, poker became a very popular game among people across the globe.
